PZ1160 - Technical Project Manager – Network Security - Firewalls/ NIPS Skills
Job Description
This role will undertake and deliver the security project effectively and efficiently with enhanced business requirements as well as ensuring compliance to our security standards and policies.
The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from start to finish. The position requires managing this project in coordination with many different teams and businesses and will be required to facilitate efficient communication across all levels of the project to ensure consistency in reaching the project's goal, and business benefits also help in the recognition of any potential opportunities, risks, or complications.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Define Project scope, sizing, key metrics and goals.
? Develop & execute on a strategy that focuses on effective and efficient security processes to mitigate risk as per defined Project methodology framework.
? Delivers Technology Security projects on time, on budget, and at the expected quality
? Works on complete life cycle of security products procurement i.e. Product evaluation, RFP, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipting and Financial administration.
? Manages reporting for the team, ensuring formats for weekly reports, Project boards and steering committees are adhered to and delivered in a timely manner
Note:
? Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or management degree
? 5 to 10+ years IT Security and Project Management experience, with a focus on Delivery, Security Architecture and Project Management
? Very good knowledge of IPS infrastructure and Policies, Firewalls.
? Very good knowledge of Cisco Source Fire products and functionality (preferably DC1500, 3D8140 & 3D8250).
? Very good knowledge of Detection, monitoring & Protection of security threats, vulnerabilities and intrusions.
? Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, ITIL, is must while any of CISM, CISSP, CISA or GIAC etc. would be plus.
? Knowledge of Unix, Windows, Cisco Network systems etc.
? Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
? Excellent planning, organization and problem solving skills
? In-depth knowledge of system development life cycle.
? Excellent communication skills
